Caleb Marfo Yirenkyi, yet another proud product of the famous Right to Dream Academy, is hogging the headlines in Ghana and Europe for all the right reasons.
At just 19 years of age, Yirenkyi has wowed a majority of Ghanaians with his encouraging performances at the 2025 Unity Cup in London, England. Otto Addo certainly hit a jackpot with him.
Yirenkyi was one of the standout stars at the invitational competition in London amongst the new invitees to the Black Stars. Originally a central midfielder, the youngster was placed at the right-back position, darting up and down thoughout.
The youngster will definitely become a positive migraine for the technical team of the Black Stars of Ghana when Alidu Seidu, Tariq Lamptey, and the experienced Denis Odoi are in perfect shape ahead of the resumption of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in September.
His club’s [FC Nordsjaelland] first team manager, Jens Olsen, described Yirenkyi as an ambitious and determined player after having impressed in the Danish Supaliga— One for the future.
Having just made his debut in September 2024 after turning 18 eight months earlier, the versatile Ghanaian international has gone on to make 7 appearances and attract suitors from the top leagues in Europe.
