The Senegalese Football Association is prioritising the health and safety of its players ahead of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers.
The FA has moved the Teranga Lions’ game against Mozambique from Dakar to Maputo.
The game on September 25 was moved to the poor state of the pitch Stade Mᵉ Abdoulaye Wade in Diamniadio.
The pitch will be worked on to be used for the opening games of the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
Senegal will therefore travel to Maputo to face Mozambique in their opening AFCON 2027 qualifying fixture.
