Renowned Lecturer who doubles as an IP Consultant, Dr Benjamin Oduro Arhin Jnr. popularly known as Bnoskka, has condemned the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie’s bid to stop the Mahama-led Administration from building a new national theater.‎

‎According to him, President John Dramani Mahama made a solemn promise to build a national theater in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region to help the creative art sector, and expressed the need for the Sector Minister to find investors to bring the dream of the government to fruition.

‎Speaking in a Zoom interview on the Max Morning Show on Monday, Bnoskka stated Gomashie’s statement to dissuade the president from walking his talk was not right.

‎”The NDC government promised to build a theater in Kumasi, but what worried me is that the current Minister, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie says he doesn’t agree with the President to build a new theatre. They should rather renovate the old center for national cultures from Rawlings time,” he said.

‎Bnoskka observed that the country was not currently having an ultra-modern theater which could host about 20,000 people and expressed the need for the Gomashie to rethink about how that new theatre the president promised would help the industry.

‎”It is good to do the renovation, but President John Dramani Mahama himself has promised to build a new theatre. Why don’t you as a Minister facilitate the process by finding investors to help build it,” he said.

‎Bnoskka believed that a new indoor venue or theater with about 40,000 capacity could help the creatives to host more shows in the country whether rain or shine without the event being ruined by the weather.
