HISTORIC! MAX TV broadcast live four sporting events in 24 hrs

Date:

Ghana’s best free-to-air sports and entertainment television station, Max TV, made history on Saturday, June 19, 2023, by producing and broadcasting live three football matches and a boxing league in a day.

This maiden feat comes under the leadership of CEO Maxwell Takyi, and this accomplishment highlights Max TV’s reputation as the top sports station in the country, aligning with the views of Ghanaians.

Max TV holds exclusive rights to broadcast the GARFA Middle League currently underway and the Women’s FA Cup final. On match day 1 on Saturday, starting from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Max TV broadcast live two fixtures of the GARFA Middle League in Accra at the Accra Sports Stadium. Following that, the final of the Women’s FA Cup, which took place in Kumasi, featured eventual winners Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Police Ladies. Lastly, at 9:30 p.m., Max TV aired the Ghana Professional Boxing League on the same day, with over 10 bouts.

Max TV’s commitment to sports development in Ghana goes beyond these events, as they have also secured exclusive rights for the Total Energies U-23 AFCON. This demonstrates their dedication to showcasing and supporting sports in the country.
