Como have produced one of the most extraordinary results in Champions League history, leaving several records shattered.
Cesc Fàbregas’ side demolished Lens 9-1 away from home in the fourth round of the Champions League league phase.
The result became the heaviest defeat in the French club’s history and also the biggest loss ever suffered by a French team in the competition.
Como equalled the Champions League record for the largest winning margin.
Their eight-goal advantage matches Liverpool’s 8-0 victory over Besiktas in 2007 and Real Madrid’s identical triumph against Malmö in 2015.
Remarkably, Como became the first team to achieve such a margin away from home.
Anastasios Douvikas completed a hat-trick with goals in the 7th, 32nd and 57th minutes, becoming only the third Greek footballer to score three times in a Champions League match.
