A Germany-based Ghanaian gospel singer, Felicia Boadu, has charged musicians and women in abusive marriages to divorce their partners.

According to her, there is no marriage in heaven for anyone to remain in bondage in the name of marriage.

Felicia Boadu gave the advice during an exclusive interview on the Max Morning Show in Accra last Friday.

“If you are in a marriage where your husband or partner beats you, I won’t advise you to remain in that painful marriage. Because if you stay and he beats you to death, you will die for nothing,” she said.

She maintained that since there is no marriage in heaven, if a marriage could send a person to an early grave, there is the need to walk out of it.

The “Goodness and Mercy” hitmaker noted that although the Bible is against divorce, the same Bible advises Christians to cut off anything that could lead them to destruction.
