Former Arsenal women’s player Freda Ayisi couldn’t help but share her joy on social media about her maiden call-up to the Black Queens of Ghana.
The 29-year-old Charlton Athletic star, who is helping her side gain promotion to the English women’s football top flight, is set to join the Black Queens in camp ahead of the crucial Paris 2024 final qualifying round against a tough Zambian side.
Nora Hauptle was in awe of the Ghanaian when she watched Ayisi, who has been likened to Dimitar Berbatov, score the equalizing goal for Charlton Athletic against Crystal Palace in May 2023.
The first leg of the final qualifying round will take place on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
