Kuami Eugene: You are not God to stop me from doing Gospel songs.

Date:

Lynx Entertainment signed artiste, Kuami Eugene has said people who condemn secular musicians for doing gospel songs are not divine beings themselves and have no right to condemn him for doing gospel songs.

According to Kuami Eugene, God belongs to everyone. He is not the property of anyone neither does He belong to only one person. God created everybody so he  thinks no one has the right to stop anybody from getting to God.”

Speaking on Accra-based Max TV on the Max Morning show hosted by, Alex Kwesi Crassie and Babiee Adjoa Dappah, Kuami Eugene said “God belongs to all of us. He is not the property of anyone neither does He belong to only one person. God created everything and everybody so I don’t think no one has the right to stop anybody from getting to God.”

He said, “The power and gift He has given me to thank Him when He blesses me can’t be stopped by anybody because you are not divine, you are not in heaven, so you can’t stop me from praising Him when He is good to me. You can’t stop my gratitude to God.”

“So if I make a song and say “3y3 nyame adom arakwa na me tu ma obia tu” to thank God and I call it gospel , then you can’t stop me nor condemn it. You can’t judge me. You are not divine, you are not in heaven because if I take the power you don’t have, you will die just like me,” he added.

Kuami Eugene further said “So if you condemn me and stop someone that they are not clean to sing gospel music then you have to count your days on earth.”

“You are not divine to stop me from singing praises to God,” he concluded.
