How Ghana’s Economy Can Be Revamped if ‎Creative Arts Sector is well resourced

Date:

‎The President of the Ghana Comedians Network (GCN), Percy Obrempong Agyapong, has called on the government to be intentional about investing in the creative art industry.

‎According to him, the sector has what it takes to curb the teaming unemployment crippling the country.

‎Speaking exclusively on the Max Morning Show in Accra on Monday, Agyapong lamented that successive governments always take the creative art sector for granted.

‎”Leadership should be international. We take things for granted, and we think some places can move the economy. They should look at where we have sacrificed so much to invest. Because, once a comedian or a musician is performing, a technician will be employed, a cameraman will be employed, a scriptwriter will be employed, a producer will be employed, and a sound engineer will be employed, among many others,” he said.

‎Agyapong insisted that the government had to put effective measures in place to propel the creative art sector to revamp the country’s economy.
