A sure-fitting way to honour the late Francis Yaw Frimpong, also known as Nana Pooley, as Kotoko resume the league with a convincing 2-0 win.
Head coach of Kotoko, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, prior to the resumption of the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League, inspired his fans of the team targeting to win the title in honour of the fallen supporter, Nana Pooley.
Dr Ogum’s message may be inspiring the team’s charge to the summit of the league standings after Patrick Asiedu and in-form striker Kwame Opoku scored in the matchday 23 encounter against Legon Cities at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Kotoko’s win not only saw them leapfrog Bibiani Gold Stars and Hearts of Oak to the top but plunge Yaw Acheampong’s Legon Cities into a deep abyss in the standings.
