Accra Hearts of Oak has responded to the player registration ban imposed on it by the world football governing body, FIFA.
In a letter dated August 21, 2025, FIFA directed the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to ensure the effective implementation of the ban on the Phobians.
Until the financial obligations owed to former head coach Renne Hiddink, brother of former Chelsea FC manager Guus Hiddink, are satisfied, Hearts will not be able to register any player, whether nationally or internationally.
Hearts of Oak acknowledged the seriousness of the ban but assured its fans all players in the squad have been registered; hence, it would not affect its competitive commitment.
The press statement by management of the club sought to calm fans and supporters while showing intent to have the matter addressed earnestly.
