Isaac Koomson labels his opponent, John Ansah, as a “gateman” ahead of the GHALCA (Ghana League Clubs Association) Chairmanship race, scheduled for next Tuesday.
Speaking on Max Sports’ Big Interview show, Koomson described Ansah’s role as one suited for underdogs, a statement that has sparked discussions within the football fraternity.
As a candidate for the GHALCA Chairmanship, Koomson has unveiled a series of proposals aimed at transforming the association and protecting the welfare of club owners and administrators nationwide.
One of his key initiatives is the introduction of an insurance policy tailored specifically for individuals managing football clubs. Koomson emphasized the risks associated with club administration, particularly in the Ghana Premier League and Division One, where frequent travel on challenging roads poses significant dangers. This policy would offer peace of mind to administrators, ensuring they have adequate support to mitigate the uncertainties of their roles.
Additionally, Koomson revealed plans for a “GHALCA Gala Night,” an award scheme to recognize and reward excellence at the end of each football season. He envisions the gala as an inclusive event, bringing together everyone from the president to support staff, fostering unity and resolving lingering issues.
Koomson’s campaign continues to highlight his focus on innovation and welfare as he vies for leadership in the upcoming GHALCA elections.
