The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has extended warm wishes and encouragement to the over 600,000 students writing the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) nationwide.
Addressing the nation on June 11, the Minister described the start of the exams as a major milestone in the academic journey of Ghanaian youth.
He urged candidates to stay calm, focused, and honest throughout the exam period, emphasizing the importance of integrity and self-belief.
“Believe in your ability—you prepared for this day, and through honest effort, you will succeed,” he said.
Mr. Iddrisu highlighted that the BECE is not just a test of memory but a reflection of students’ growth, character, and potential.
Speaking from Techiman in the Bono Region as part of his nationwide monitoring tour, the Minister raised concern over poor furniture conditions in some schools, specifically referencing Babator.
“There’s an urgent need for government intervention to address the quality of furniture students use, especially during exams,” he noted, promising the Ministry’s commitment to addressing such infrastructure challenges.
He concluded with a strong message of hope: “Best of luck to all our candidates. Be confident, stay committed, and success will follow.”
