Recorded cases of Monkey Pox (Mpox) increase to 79 after 34 new cases were recently reported by the Ghana Health Service.
Mpox is a viral disease caused by the monkeypox virus, a member of the orthopoxvirus family.
It can spread from animals to humans and can also spread between humans through close contact.
According to reports, health officials are intensively monitoring four patients currently on admission, as contact tracing is underway.
“There is no cause for alarm,” the GHS assured in a press statement, urging that things are in control.
