Ghana’s sole representative of the 2024-25 CAF Confederations Cup, Nsoatreman FC, has advanced to the second round of the preliminary stage for a place in the group stages.
The MTN FA Cup defending champions completed the double over their Chadian rivals, winning a convincing 2-0 victory at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Cameroon, where the tie was played instead of Chad due to political reasons.
A goal in each half ensured a safe passage into the next round for Yaw Preko’s men. Walid Fuseini Neymar broke the deadlock in the 34th of the first-half before Stephen Diyou sealed the win in the 86th minute.
Nsoatreman FC now awaits the winner of the Constantine SC versus Police FC of Rwanda in the next round.
