Zambia and Egypt will meet for the first time at the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The two sides will face off in Group C at the Rabat Olympic Stadium on Tuesday, live on Max TV.
This is Zambia’s third meeting against a North African team in the history of the tournament.
Head coach of the Copper Queens, Nora Hauptle, said her side will not underrate the Egyptians.
“We know that we will play our starting game against Egypt, the football nation.
We don’t underrate them, of course, but the focus is very much on us.
We have experience in how to build the energy towards the starting game, and we are cool,” Häuptle said.
