Ghana’s Maxwell Woledzi is a revelation for Eastern Conference League leader Nashville FC in Major League Soccer in the 2026/27 season.
The defender led Nashville FC defensive statistics in overall interceptions (28), total clearances (175), and blocks (20) in his first MLS season with the club. He scored two match-winning goals so far in the ongoing 2026 MLS season for his side on their way to winning the Supporters Shield for the first time ever in the club’s history.
The towering defender has made 30 appearances, with 29 of them as a starter in the current season for the club. Woledzi boasts of other qualities, such as his overall 1,863 passes played so far, with 26 passes breaking the midfield line and 13 line-breaking carries. The above statistics clearly show he can help move the play forward rather than just clearing his lines.
Woledzi’s disciplinary record speaks volumes about his overall game management and consistency. With (30) appearances, the defender has only attracted one yellow card in the league.
