The head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo, has assured his team will not underrate any opponent in the qualifying series of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Otto Addo’s statements were obviously contrary to the performance of the Black Stars against the Sao Lao of Chad on Thursday, September 4.

The Black Stars had led Chad by a goal to nil in N’Djamena till the home country shocked them with a late deflected strike.

Outraged by the display of their beloved Black Stars, fans pointed fingers at Otto Addo for the poor game management which may cost the country a place at the World Cup.

Speaking ahead of the game against Mali on Monday, September 8, the former Dortmund tactician, appearing confident, stated his men will not underrate any team.

“Game by game, there will be no underrating of any team,” he said as the Black Stars are to take on Tom Sanfeit’s tricky Malians.
