The non-partisan Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority, Prof. Ransford Gyampo, has revealed himself to be one of the tough critics of President John Dramani Mahama in the past.
Known as one of the most opinionated political critics in the modern era, Prof. Gyampo, surprisingly, earned an appointment from President Mahama on his return to the seat.
He often voiced out against the 2012 to 2016 Mahama-led administration, leading to his defeat to former president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the 2016 general polls.
“I was an avowed critic of President Mahama. I think you are a fair-minded Ghanaian and a fair-minded stakeholder in Ghana’s media landscape, so if I tell you that I was among the loudest critics of President Mahama in the lead-up to the 2016 elections, you will know, and there are documentary proofs. The internet doesn’t forget,” he stated on Channel One TV.
He was so convinced of His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo’s promise to bring transformation in the management of the country’s affairs that he forged a formidable opposition to his current boss, President Mahama.
