Renowned sports manager and club administrator Samuel Anim Addo has shared how his career in sports management was inspired by his mentor, the late Alhaji Ibrahim Sly Tetteh.
Sly Tetteh passed away in 2018 when he collapsed during a football match involving retired footballers in Cape Coast. He veered into football administration after a stellar playing career.
Samuel Anim Addo, while on the Sports Pack show on Max FM, eulogized his late mentor, as he believed Ghana would have players in the best football clubs in the world if he were still alive.
“Alhaji Sly Tetteh was my mentor. He helped me a great deal. I am carrying on his work.”
“He [Sly Tetteh] developed players in his clubs, managed their career paths, and made sure they did the right things. If he were to be alive, we [Ghana] would have players playing for big clubs,” he said to Mutala Yakubu.
