Kumasi Asante Kotoko are close to naming their second coach in the 2026/27 football season.
The Porcupine Warriors are currently being handled by assistant coach Mohammed Obeng Hamza following the departure of Eric Tinkler.
Tinkler left the reins of the club after just four matches into the new Ghana Premier League (GPL) season to join Durban City in South Africa.
Sources close to Max Online have confirmed that Kotoko met with Port City FC head coach Christopher Ennin as a possible replacement.
Ennin has begun the season so well, with one of the league’s newcomers, Port City, making them an exciting team to watch.
In a recent interview with Max TV, Ennin disclosed that he agreed to join the Tema-based club just to be closer to his family.
Asante Kotoko’s offer would be too good for the former Berekum Chelsea and Samartex coach to turn down.
