Grace Nortey to be finally laid to rest on Saturday October 31

Celebrated veteran actress Grace Naa Kwarley Nortey will be laid to rest at the forecourt of the State House in Accra on Saturday, October 31, 2026.

‎This was announced by her family after sharing her funeral arrangements poster online.

‎According to the funeral arrangements, there will be no wake-keeping, as the funeral service will begin at 8:00am on Saturday, October 31, after which her interment will be conducted privately.

‎Her thanksgiving service will continue at 8:00 at St Barnabas Anglican Church in Osu on Sunday, November 1.

‎Sympathizers are encouraged to wear white attire for the funeral rite services.

Grace Nortey passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 89 after falling sick and losing her vision due to old age.

‎She is survived by her five children and siblings.
