Ibrahim Tanko has admitted his team, Medeama Sporting Club, deserved to lose against FC Samartex.
Medeama SC and Samartex locked horns in a Sunday special game at the Nsenkyire Stadium in a tense encounter.
At the end of the game, the home side, Samartex, secured all three points with a 2-1 win.
“It is a painful defeat looking at how the game went, but I think they deserved the win,” Coach Tanko said to reporters.
The defeat has resulted in the defending champions falling to third place behind Hearts of Oak and leaders FC Samartex.
Medeama will go back to the drawing table to plot a win against a difficult Aduana FC side on Sunday, October 25, 2026.
