In a significant development from the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Nsoatreman FC has been charged with breaching Article 22(4) of the Ghana Premier League Regulations following an incident during their recent clash against Asante Kotoko.
The controversy centers around Kudus Bashiu, an official of Nsoatreman FC, who faces charges under Article 12(1)(h) of the GFA Disciplinary Code and Articles 34(6)(d) and 22(3)(a) of the Ghana Premier League Regulations (2019). Kudus allegedly entered the inner perimeter and unlawfully accessed the field of play, where he reportedly assaulted Asante Kotoko’s Mohamed Camara—a serious offense that brings the sport into disrepute.
The club itself is also accused of either negligently or intentionally allowing Kudus, whose name was absent from the official team sheet, unauthorized access to the pitch during the match.
Both Kudus and Nsoatreman FC have until Monday, February 24, 2025, to officially respond to the charges laid against them. The GFA’s swift action underscores its commitment to maintaining discipline and protecting the integrity of the league.
