Highlife musician Kuami Eugene has called on the President, John Dramani Mahama to slow down the pace of how he is working for the cedi appreciation.
According to him, the current work of the president is making his dollar reserve go to waste.
Kuami Eugene who expressed the mixed reactions on how the cedi appreciation is affecting his dollar investment said in a post on Twitter on May 28 that he was happy and sad at the same time about the development.
”We beg President John Dramani Mahama to slow down small. My dollar reserves all dey go waste. I’m happy and sad at the same time,” he tweeted.
However, his tweet had sparked debate online as others criticized him for not thinking about how the appreciation of the cedi would boost the economy, others also shared his concerns about how those into dollar investment and savings would be affected by it.
