Ghana’s music maestro, Kojo Antwi, lost his mother, Madam Mary Adwoa Nyamaa, who passed away on November 13, 2024, at Mpraeso General Hospital in the Eastern Region.
The age of the woman and the cause of death is not currently known.
However, the announcement of her death was made through a press statement issued recently in Accra by Kojo Antwi and his family.
“It is with sadness that Mr Music Man The Maestro Kojo Antwi and his siblings and their families announce to the general public, the media, music, culture and tourism fraternity and all lovers, friends and fans worldwide, the passing of their beloved mother Madam Mary Adwoa Nyamaa on 13th November, 2024 at Mpraeso General Hospital,” it said.
Kojo Antwi stated that his mother inspired his great song “Bre bre Anowaa” and expressed sadness that his “good mother” was gone.
“A fortieth day gathering will be announced for all friends and sympathizers to attend and grant comfort and a shoulder to lean on to the family,” the statement added.
