#MAXENTERTAINMENT: “Oye Jesus was initially a worship song”- Efua Black

Date:

Efua Black, an award-winning gospel singer, has asserted that one of her songs, “Oye Jesus, was a worship song until Amy Newman influenced the change into a high-life rendition.

In an interview on the TIG show with Franky 5, the singer revealed that legendary gospel singer Amy Newman encouraged her to transform the song into a highlife rendition, and she successfully did so, resulting in a great final product.

The duo also worked on Efua’s Ma Metse Biara, a beautiful inspirational song, which had the two great singers complement each other on the song.

The inspirational singer has grown to be a household name in the Western Region of Ghana and feels it is about time to take her career to the next level. The gospel singer, who is currently on a media tour in Accra for the first time, is a force to be reckoned with. Her songs, without a doubt, can be rated with great writing skills, arrangements, and production. She also credited her beloved husband with playing a pivotal role in putting these great pieces together

Some notable aspects of the Efua Black Ministry include periodic philanthropic activities. She usually visits the orphanage to celebrate her birthdays with them. The singer, together with her team, paid a visit to the prison right after her yearly Holy Ghost Concert to fraternize with them and encourage them to be hopeful and trust in the Lord. These projects have always taken place in Takoradi. She says she hopes to touch other parts of the country with her blessings.

Music enthusiasts can enjoy the Only God EP as well as other beautiful songs from Efua Black on all streaming sites.
