MAX GPL 2023: Medeama SC are CHAMPIONS after 46 years

Date:

Medeama Sporting Club has been crowned 2022/23 BetPawa Premier League following a 3-0 win over Tamale City on the season’s final day for the first time in their history since rebranding from Kessben FC to Medeama SC in 2011.

The Mauve and Yellows finished the season with 60 points, five ahead of second-placed Aduana FC.

Jonathan Sowah extended Medeama’s lead in the 66th minute after Joshua Agyemang had scored just 7 minutes into the first half.

Nungua native, Sowah, aka ‘aah Gyan’ added the third for his brace 10 minutes later after his first to wrap up the victory.

Medeama SC will now represent Ghana in the 2022/23 CAF Champions League.
