MAX GPL 2023: GPL Matchday 34 Winners and Losers

Date:

Medeama Sporting Club killed two birds with one stone by winning the 2022/23 BetPawa Premier League and sending Tamale City back to Division One after Joshua Agyemang and Jonathan Sowah scored at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa on Sunday afternoon.

Accra Great Olympics secured their spot for the next season of the BetPawa Premier League after a 2-1 victory over Nsoatreman at the WAFA Park in Sogakope. Michael Osei gave the Wonder Boys the lead in the 53rd minute before Christopher Nettey doubled their lead. Walid Fuseini’s goal for Nsoatreman was nothing but a consolation.

Isaac Mintah’s lone strike sends Aduana FC above Bechem United in second place in the league standings. Bechem United went into the game needing a win while hoping Medeama lose at home to stand the chance of clinching the league title, but their hosts, Aduana FC, had other ideas.

King Faisal suffered relegation despite a 1-0 win over Real Tamale United as Hearts of Oak, Accra Lions, Legon Cities, Samartex, and Karela United beat the drop.
