Asante Kotoko have officially announced the appointment of Abdul Karim Zito as the new head coach of the club.
Zito, a former player for Asante Kotoko, replaces USD 4,000 coach Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, whose sacking had been looming after losing abysmally to Accra Lions two weeks ago.
The former Dreams FC coach would be assisted by former Medeama SC coach Prince Yaw Owusu, “a seasoned football technician with over two decades of coaching experience across Ghana, Sudan, and the United States”, as he is described by the club’s website.
Malik Jabir, a former Technical Director joins the technical team in the capacity of a Technical Advisor to aid in steering the Porcupine Warriors to a satisfactory finish at the end of the season
Vision FC’s assistant coach Hamza Obeng is still expected to join Kotoko when before the start of the 2025—26 season.
