Kotoko to reveal new assistants for Karim Zito

Date:

With Asante Kotoko set to announce former player Abdul Karim Zito as head coach of the club, two assistant coaches would be hired to join the technical staff.

Zito would replace Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum as head coach with six games left to the end of the 2024—25 Ghana Premier League season.

The management of Asante Kotoko have scheduled to meet the playing body of the team on Tuesday morning to introduce the new technical team of the club.

Former Hearts of Oak title-winning assistant coach Hamza Obeng and former player for the club, Prince Owusu have been earmarked as assistants for Zito, as the club targets a league and cup double.

Max.com.gh understands that Zito’s appointment would be for the short term and may extend his stay at the club depending on his performance at the end of the season.
