Nations FC head coach Kassim Mingle has opened up about his journey as a developing coach, the hurdles he faces with some players, and his pride in earning a nomination for Coach of the Month.
Speaking candidly, Mingle reflected on his personal growth and the complexities of managing a diverse squad.
“As a coach who is still developing, I am always learning and improving,” Mingle said. “However, I’ve realized that not every player is coachable. For instance, Faisal Chartey, who came from Akatsi All Stars, a Division One side, is a standout talent.
His potential earned him a call-up to the Black Galaxies and recognition with the U-19 national team. Although we planned a friendly against Morocco that didn’t materialize, his progress demonstrates what proper coaching can achieve,” he told max.com.gh
Mingle expressed pride in being nominated for Coach of the Month, an acknowledgment he feels is well-earned. “This nomination is a reflection of the hard work I’ve put in. It’s not just about results but the dedication to shaping players and elevating the team’s performance,” he noted.
Looking ahead to the 2024/25 league season, Mingle’s focus remains on personal and team growth. Despite the challenges posed by varying player attitudes and abilities, he is determined to push Nations FC to greater heights. His nomination underscores his growing reputation as one of the most promising coaches in Ghanaian football.
