Afropop artist Mujahid Ahmed Bello, known by his stage name Fancy Gadam, believes he has set a better record in the Northern music space than King Ayisoba, Sherifa Gunu, Wiyaala, and other renowned musicians from the Northern Region.
According to him, he is the only Northern musician who has filled various stadiums and arenas in the country with his music.
The artist blew his horn during an interview on Max Morning Show in Accra on Friday, where he explained into details about his recent performance during his “Gadam Nation” concert held at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra over the weekend.
He said his words were not to downplay the Northern legends who started their music before him but to set the record straight about the impact of his music in the Ghana music scene.
“They started the journey before us. You know King Ayisoba, Atongo, Sherifa Gunu—they are legends! You know they started all these things, but we have come to grow the industry,” Fancy Gadam explained.
Talking about his performance at the Gadam Nation concert on October 26, he stated that his team came up with the stage entry idea and it worked for him.
Fancy Gadam literally flew in the air on wires, and fans and patrons were enthused by his grand stage entrance.
He denied that he learned that craft from Michael Jackson, stressing that Chris Brown, Beyoncé, and Wizkid have all done that before.
