IMAX Boxing Promotions’ sponsored Ghana Professional Boxing League season 5 will be on break to make way for a ban on drumming and noise-making in the Greater Accra Region, which commences from Monday, May 15 to Thursday, June 15, 2023.
The season officially returns on June 17, 2023, with very exciting bouts lined up.

Benjamin Nii Saka Bulley of Palm Springs Gym endured a tough encounter with Moses Kweku of Seconds Out, winning via Unanimous Points decision.
The Super featherweight contest witnessed by fans and millions of viewers as Nigerian Yusif Adeneji went the short distance with Nathaniel Nukpe via Round 2 TKO.
Eric Quarm of Fit Square delivered a Round 2 TKO on Sulley Mohammed of Sea View.
IMAX Boxing Promotions’ John ‘the magic man’ Quaye of Akotoku Gym got a hard-fought victory over Felix Nunoo of Bronx Gym through a split decision.
The Ghana Armed Forces’ debutant, Jerry Lartey, defeated Akimos Annan Ampiah who claimed after the match that he fought out of his weight category.
The bout everyone had been eagerly waiting for, was between last season’s winner, Charles Tetteh, who proudly displayed the Max TV logo on his grey and black trunks, faced Eric Asante. The underdog, Asante, nearly caused an upset as he knocked down Tetteh twice before referees adjudged the bout to be a draw.
