The Ghana Police Service has announced traffic diversions and road closures on the day of the state burial of the Adansi Akrofuom helicopter crash victims.
With the two Muslims amongst the victims already buried per Islamic traditions, the other six, including Dr Omane Boamah, Dr Samuel Sarpong, Samuel Aboagye, Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah, are set to be buried on Friday, August 15, 2025.
Roads leading to the Black Stars Square, such as the 28th February Road from the CEPS Traffic Light Intersection to Castle Road Junction, will be blocked, andthe Osu Cemetery Traffic Light on Lokko Street will be closed.
The Castle Road from AU to Osu Cemetery Traffic Light and the Starlet 91 road will be closed at the Ministries Traffic Light Intersection, as motorists have been advised to adhere to traffic diversion directives for an easy commute.
Only vehicles with RED VVIP stickers will be allowed entry into the restricted zones. Vehicles in unauthorised zones would be towed.
