The owner of Division One League side, Elmina Sharks, has revealed the Ghana Football Association rejected his contributions to the game in the past.
Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum was watching his beloved Elmina Sharks in action on Sunday, February 16, at the Ndoum stadium against Zone 2 leaders Swedru All Blacks.
A questionable call by the centre referee Morrison prompted Dr. Ndoum to descend to the pitch to get his irritated players and coaching staff to simmer down.
According to Dr. Ndoum in an interview after the game, he said, “I started some time back. They pushed me away. And not just the Football Association, but the previous administration. I was supposed to be part of the reforms, which Kofi Amoah and others were part of. Do you know the day we were supposed to fly out of Ghana to go and discuss from the owners’ standpoint the reforms that were required? I was taken off the plane.”
Following his remarks on social media and media interviews, the GFA in turn has charged him with allegedly interfering with the match and inciting violence at the venue and on social media.
