The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has firmly denied rumors that President Kurt Okraku met with a German coach regarding a potential appointment for the Black Stars.
In a statement released on Tuesday, November 5, the GFA labeled these reports as baseless.
“The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has observed false reports circulating that the Association has been in discussions with a German coach regarding remuneration,” the statement read. “The Association wishes to clarify that these claims are entirely false.”
The GFA explained that President Okraku’s recent trip to Germany was solely focused on strengthening the relationship with Puma, the Black Stars’ official kit sponsor, with discussions centered around “mutual interests” to enhance their partnership, as previously reported on the GFA’s platforms.
The GFA urged the public and media to disregard these rumors, recommending that all rely on its official website and verified social media for accurate updates.
This response reinforces the GFA’s dedication to transparency and managing expectations regarding the national team’s coaching situation.
