Mohamed Salah is set to sign for Turkish club Trabzonspor on a two-year contract.
The Liverpool legend will join on a free transfer having brought the curtain down on an iconic nine-year spell at Anfield.
And now he’s set for a new challenge in the Turkish Super Lig, with Trabzonspor giving a statement confirming they were in for the 35-year-old.
It read: “Negotiations have begun regarding the transfer of professional footballer Mohamed Salah to our club.”
Salah will arrive in Istanbul on Wednesday before making the journey to Trabzon, located in north-east Turkey, on the same day to complete his move.
Trabzonspor adds that they will share further developments on Salah’s move in due course.
