Renowned gospel musician Brother Sammy has expressed disappointment in churches in the country for failing to assist members for many of their female youth to have turned into “hook-up” girls.
According to him, churches are making it big, and the onus lies on the leaders to assist the congregation.
Speaking in a recent media interview, “the men in worship” hitmaker alleged that some female church members were now turning to “hook-ups” to survive due to a lack of financial support from their churches.
He urged churches to offer more assistance to members facing hardships.
Brother Sammy pointed out that longstanding churches often own their properties, eliminating rental costs, and argued that those churches could redirect funds to support their struggling congregants.
“Some of their members have been selling tomatoes at the markets for years and have been consistently giving their little 1 cedi as an offering, but they are not getting any help,” he added.
Brother Sammy cautioned preachers to swiftly change strategies for outreach; otherwise, “one day, there will be nobody to attend” church.
