Michael Boye Marquaye has sensationally claimed that Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, has Ghanaian roots.
The 65-year-old, based in the United Kingdom went on to claim that he is the father of Rashford, the Man United forward.
Rashford is known to have been born to a Jamaican Joseph Rashford and Brit Melaine in Wythenshawe, Manchester in the UK.
That is, however, a record that is being challenged now by Michael Boye Marquaye, who himself was a prolific striker in his playing days in Ghana alongside the likes of Hesse Odamtten, Ben Kayode and Aboagye Dacosta of Okwahu United fame playing for several clubs in Koforidua(Eastern Region and Tema (Greater Accra Region).
According to reports reaching www.maxfmlive.com , Micheal Boye Marquaye , when queried on why he is making his sensational claim now, said he simply wants to set the records straight and let the whole world know that Marcus Rashford has Ghanaian roots and not for any other motivation.
