Kheireddine Madoui, the head coach of CS Constantine, has emphasized the importance of the first leg of the second round of qualifiers for the 2024-25 CAF Confederation Cup group stages.
The Algerians are set to take on the 2023-24 MTN FA Cup winners, Nsoatreman FC, at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, September 13, live on the biggest sports station in Ghana, Max TV.
In the game that would be officiated by Zimbabwean referee Thabani Ruzario in Accra, Madoui indicated his side will be looking to take advantage of the Ghanaians defensive errors to get a favourable result into the second leg.
Speaking to the press before Constantine departed Algiers, the former Algerian international turned coach stated how decisive the first leg would be.
“In this kind of confrontation, the first match is often decisive. It is even the key to qualifying for the next round. We must therefore give everything to try to come back before a favorable result in anticipation of the second round. To do this, we must remain focused until the end, minimize defensive errors above all, and exploit the slightest opportunity to score,” he said.
CS Constantine arrived on the shores of Ghana on Wednesday in time for the final round of qualifiers for the group stages of the 2024-25 CAF Confederation Cup.
