Arne Slot on Sunday, April 27, became the sixth manager to win the Premier League in his first season at a club after guiding Liverpool to a record-equalling 20th top-flight title.
Slot took over at Anfield from Jurgen Klopp last summer and joined the likes of former Chelsea managers Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti and Antonio Conte, as well as Manuel Pellegrini (Manchester City) and Claudio Ranieri in clinching a first Premier League title in his debut season with a club.
The Dutchman’s achievement helped Liverpool to a second title of the Premier League era, following Jurgen Klopp’s triumph in the 2019-20 season, and first in front of supporters since 1990, after their last crown was won during Covid restrictions.
It also helped the Reds draw level with north-west rivals Manchester United in winning 20 top-flight titles.
