Former Real Madrid star Marcelo has disclosed who he thinks will be named the winner of the Ballon d’Or.
The Brazilian legend tipped his fellow countryman Vinicius Jr. to win the award over Englishman Jude Bellingham.
Real Madrid players are heavily featured on the 30-man shortlist released last week.
Vinicius Jr. together with Jude Bellingham, led Real Madrid to their 15th UEFA Champions League trophy and another Spanish La Liga title.
Marcelo was quoted by Sportskeeda saying, “Ballon d’Or? I think they will definitely give it to Vinícius Jr. Carvajal, Bellingham, andKroos played very well too.”
The 68th edition of the awards ceremony will take place on Monday, October 28 at the grandiose Théâtre du Châtelet, located at the Place du Châtelet in Paris.
