Kwame A Plus, contesting as an independent candidate, secured a decisive victory defeating the incumbent Member of Parliament Naana Eyiah Quansah of the NPP, who polled 11,637 votes, and Yawson Mohamed of the NDC who came third with 10,112 votes.

In a heartfelt message, John Dumelo thanked all fans and assured them he would continue his developmental plan for the people of Ayawaso West.
