The only success story for the Black Stars of Ghana in the 2024 calendar year is Mohammed Kudus’ inclusion in Africa’s best eleven male footballers.
At the 2024 CAF Awards in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday, December 16, Kudus was named as part of ten others as the best eleven the African continent has to offer.
Kudus shone the brightest among the Black Stars at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, despite disgracefully crashing out of the tournament in the group stages.
Following his £38 million move from Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam to West Ham United in the summer of 2023, Kudus enjoyed an impeccable first season, scoring eight goals in thirty-three appearances.
The 2024-25 season has seen the Ghanaian international struggle for good form, failing to qualify with the Black Stars for the 2025 Africa of Nations.
