Transfer News: Manchester United to let Antony go in January

Date:

Brazilian star Antony has been told he can leave in the January 2025 transfer window by his club, Manchester United.

Antony has not hit the right form required by the club since he joined from Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam in an £86 million deal, following now-former manager Erik ten Hag.

The 24-year-old has managed just five goals in the Premier League since joining in 2022 from the same club, which is interested in bringing him back on a loan deal.

With the imminent arrival of Portuguese manager Ruben Amorim, Antony’s place at the club is highly threatened by rumors of the coach’s plan of bringing along English winger Marcus Edwards.

Brazilian Serie A side Flamengo have also expressed interest in signing the winger.
