Rockstar Kuami Eugene has expressed his displeasure about how his colleagues have been using dubious means to get validation in the industry.
This comes after his nomination for the Artist of the Year award at the just-ended Telecel Ghana Music Awards was swerved.
Expressing his sentiments about the growing trend in the industry, Kuami Eugene tweeted on Sunday, a few hours after the TGMA ended, that fans had the least idea of the necessary evils ongoing in the industry.
He said the act has become a “bloody game” to the extent that a musician would go to any lengths to pull any string just to be validated.
“The music industry no be how the fans dey see am. It’s a bloody game now. People will do anything, pull any string for validation ay3 tan,” Kuami Eugene stated.
Unlike the previous years, the “Monica” hitmaker did not find himself in conversations as a strong contender for multiple awards in the year under review.
Though he has hit songs, which could have made him gain buzz in the industry discussions about artists who could dominate the night at the 25th TGMA,.
The RockStar won the Best Music Video award with his Cryptocurrency song, despite many expecting him to win Album of the Year.
