Ghana’s King of Reggae and Dancehall, as described by France 24, Stonebwoy, spoke about his journey through music as a youngster from Ashaiman, Accra.
Livingston Setekla, known privately, was on the French channel to promote his newest single, ‘Your Body’ and its message of self acceptance and love.
Sharing about discovering music, he reckons music chose him while growing up in Ashaiman, a tough city he states “embodies people from all walks of life.”
“When you say Ashaiman, it’s like a tough place to grow up from, which tells you how inspirational my journey has been to the world and not only Ghana,” he said.
“I discovered music when I was a child; after I knew that music had chosen me because if it hadn’t, I wouldn’t have discovered it. When I found out, I realized that I had no option but I have to represent words, sounds, and power, which is the combination that makes music,” he added.
