The Black Stars of Ghana will partake in the 2025 Unity Cup to be held at the Gtech Community Stadium in London, England.
Ghana, along with Nigeria, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago, would be competing in the international tournament, which according to the organizers, Afro Sport, underscores the celebration of culture and sporting achievement.
Neil Armstrong Mortagbe, head of Public Relations and Strategy of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), asserted the head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo, would take advantage of the tournament to improve the team.
“Otto has never lost the opportunity to say that inasmuch as we’ve seen some of these players around for a little bit, there’s still a job to do in blending them, getting them to gel and getting them to be together in a certain psychological space that brings out the best in them,” said Mr Mortagbe on Max TV’s launch of the Unity Cup.
The Black Stars will take on eternal frenemies the Super Eagles of Nigeria on May 28, while Jamaica take on Trinidad and Tobago in a West Indies derby on May 27.
