Obrachere Student Attacked By Swebu Students

Violence ensuing at regional sporting activities for second-cycle schools continues to rage on.

From the start of the year till now, there have been reports of students in different schools attacking each other at the Awutu Senya District Athletics Games.

The latest incident to come to light is the mob attack on a student of Obrachere Senior High Technical School by some students of Swedru Business School.

The student, whose name is yet to be known, is seen in a viral video being pelted with stones, while another student tried to calm the situation.

Contrary to reports spreading on social media on Sunday, February 22, that the victim had died, he appeared for an interview with TV3 on Monday.

Netizens are calling on the Ghana Police Service to bring to justice the perpetrators of this atrocious and heinous crime.

Hon. Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui, MP for the Awutu Senya constituency, disclosed in a social media post that she, the headmistress of OSTECH, the DCE of the constituency, the Director General of the Ghana Education Services, and the District Education Office are on the way forward.
